Wipper Valley and Wipperliese
Wippra courts you and has been catering to summer guests since 1880. The 1-km-long (0.62 m) summer toboggan run of the Wippraer Rodelbahn is as famous as the Naturistenstieg – we simply had to mention this trail where you can extend your understanding of nature to walking in the nude along an official nudist hiking trail. At the heart of the resort town rises the church of St Marien. Once here, you should sample the beer brewed by Wippra’s traditional brewery. Brewery tours including tasting sessions take place once a week on a Saturday, so please book well ahead! Follow the Knüppeldamm educational forest trail to the Wippra Dam. A peek inside the dam will have you amazed. Or climb the treetops on the Schlossberg. The high ropes course with seven different courses is directly next to the summer toboggan run and climbing rock.
Tip:
The railway route Klostermansfeld – Wippra is known as Wipperliese and has in 2015 resumed operation for tourism purposes. Off you go to the Wipper Valley!
